It is with deep sadness that I have to announce the death of Rosalind Laker. She died peacefully in Chichester in southern England on 23rd November 2012. She had a long, happy and fulfilled life and leaves a legacy of wonderful books. Her memory will be kept alive through this website by her children, Susan and Paul.
Rosalind’s real name was Barbara Øvstedal and her life was fascinating. Please enjoy reading the obituary in the news section. It was written by my sister.
Paul Ovstedal, December 13, 2012

A touching and atmospheric love story - When Anna Harvik travels to Norway in 1946 in order to visit the family of her late husband, the country is only just recovering from five cruel years of Nazi occupation. So it is with surprise that she finds in this cold and bitter country the capacity for new love and perhaps even a new home.
